Visiting County Conventions May Be the Best Part of Campaigning!

I was able to say a few words at the Wasatch County and Summit County Conventions last Friday night and to meet with a lot of the wonderful people who are willing to spend their Friday night about the business of democracy.

It has been said that participation equals democracy and when you see people sacrifice their time to hear from their political leaders (and from those who want to be their political leaders) it is gratifying to see democracy working at the most fundamental grassroots level.

My message is pretty simple...

I want to represent Utah as National Committeeman on the Republican National Committee, along with our State Chairman and National Committeewoman. I believe in conservative principles that need to be represented at the national level.

I am experienced, having once served on the national committee when I served as State Party Chairman (1991 - 1995). I also want to assist the State Party in fundraising and making sure that we keep on the path that Republicans should be leading out on... specifically the principles of Individual Responsibility; Governments Role, i.e. understanding it protects our rights and does not grant them; Fiscal Conservativism, keeping the size of government in line with its constitutional roles. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are not simple platitudes, they are the words that lead men to establish a nation and to write a constitution that remains the most important governance document in the world.

Thank you for your support.
